Welcome to the Bardejov Jewish
Preservation Commitee Web Site!
We have formed this committee for the purpose of restoring
the Jewish properties in Bardejov, Slovakia, a home to Jewish
communities since the 1700s. The Jewish quarters and the town’s
historic center were included on Unesco’s World Heritage List
in 2000.
In this spirit of preserving Bardejov’s rich Jewish heritage,
we are inviting Bardejov survivors, descendants, friends, and others
interested in commemorating the vanishing Jewish communities of
Eastern Europe to Join
Us.
We invite you to explore our site to learn more about Bardejov,
its prewar Jewish community, and how you can play an important role
in preserving its rich Jewish culture and heritage.
